How to preserve my silk lingerie

Silk is a noble and precious material, but also delicate since it is natural. It must be treated with the utmost care and requires delicate maintenance to retain its softness and shine. Here are a few tips :

THE HAND WASHING
We recommend you wash your clothes separately, piece by piece, only with cold water or at room temperature but never with hot water.
Promote a silk shampoo and never use detergent containing whiteners or washing powder.

TEMPERING
Soak your silk well in cold water for 3 to 5 minutes maximum and handle it gently without rubbing, but favoring the to and fro movements.

RINSE IT WELL
Rinse the silk gently several times to remove any shampoo residue, and in the last rinse you can pour a few drops of white vinegar in the rinse water: it will help keep the shine of the tissue.

DRY GENTLY
Dry the tissue to absorb excess water using a towel, always without rubbing. If you suspend your piece, use a plastic hanger and preferably gently pull on the corners to remove wrinkles.

IRONING
Heat the iron to a lukewarm temperature and iron your silk piece upside down, being careful to avoid wrinkles. You can now hang the article, away from sources of heat and out of direct sunlight.

WE SUGGEST THE DRY CLEANING.
